Modern Metals Recycling is a family owned scrap metal business with four yards in southern Louisiana. The Denham Springs yard, which it calls Eastside, is on Florida Boulevard; the others are at Prairieville, Harvey and Port Allen Lock. It describes itself as the oldest family owned scrap yard in the Baton Rouge area.
It buys ferrous and non-ferrous metal and junk cars, weighing and pricing on site and paying before the customer leaves. Beyond the yards it runs mobile shear, water, boat and barge demolition, alloy analysis, shipping services and roll-off container hire, with baling capability at every facility.
